Det ble i 2022 brukt om lag 40.000 liter fossil diesel. En økning i antall kremasjoner, vil medføre en forholdsmessig økning i forbruket av diesel. Som en følge av økt fokus på utslippsreduksjon, vil oppdragsgiver få over fra å fyre med fossil diesel på krematoriet til å bruke biodiesel HVO 100. Denne skal av miljøhensyn IKKE inneholde palmeolje.
