Title

Radiologisk konsekvensanalyse ved utslipp av radionuklider fra IFE

Description

The Institute for Energy Technology (IFE) in Kjeller, Norway, holds a permit for liquid and airborne discharges from our facilities, issued pursuant to Act of 13 March 1981 No.6 Concerning Protection Against Pollution and Waste. Due to the organization splitting into several separate companies, IFE is currently in the process of applying for new regulatory permits for liquid and airborne discharges to the environment during normal operations for three divisions at Kjeller. The regulatory application process requires that new environmental impact assessments must be made for all discharges. In this regard, IFE seeks assistance for the purpose of performing the new impact assessment as a basis for the new permit applications. Due to new requirements set by the Norwegian authorities (DSA), the environmental impact assessment must be performed by dose calculation models handling e.g., pulse discharges, doses to the public and doses to biota. In addition, IFE has requirements that the work must be performed such as to meet the organizations future needs. As a result, IFE has decided that the dose calculations for the public and biota shall be performed using the Ecolego and ERICA software, respectively. Målet med konkurransen er å få en avtale med en part som kan bidra med nødvendig miljøkonsekvensvurdering. Leverandørens personell skal utføre følgende oppgaver i henhold til Pt. 4 Scope of this specification: - The use of ECOLEGO and ERICA models for impact assessment of radioactive substances to air and water - The model must cover impacts both to the public and the environment - The model must be able to assess pulse discharge to water - The model must be able to assess both pulse and continuous discharge to air
